Neighbours sniff out Doncaster drugs den

A DRUGS farm has been busted by police officers - after neighbours complained about a strong smell of cannabis from a nearby house.

Officers from the Adwick Safer Neighbourhood Team seized 85 plants with an estimated street value of £25,500.

They raided the house in Ridgill Avenue, Skellow, after receiving the tip-off from residents.

A 64-year-old man was arrested for production of cannabis. He has been bailed.

Police community support supervisor Andy Ireland said: “We always respond to concerns from the public and appreciate any information that is passed to us.

“We are pleased we have been able to stop these drugs from ending up on the streets of Doncaster.”
