Doncaster’s beautiful Minster Church of St. George is the perfect location for Manchester Camerata’s next sumptuous programme of works by composers struck by the love bug.

This romantic evening features Webern’s lush early Slow Movement, Brahams’ Liebeslieder Waltzes that explore love in all its shapes and forms, Dvorak’s Love Songs, and culminates with Tchaikovsky melodic Souvenir de Florence.

Manchester Camerata’s Musical Director Gabor Takacs-Nagy will conduct the programme that will also feature the voice of mezzo soprano Anna Stephany – it promises to be a night to remember. Tickets are still available for the concert on Wednesday April 25 at 7.30pm.

This is swiftly followed by more musical match-making as Sheffield based Music in the Round bring together three outstanding musicians for a unique collaboration. Jacqueline Shave; classical violinist, John Parricelli; jazz guitarist and tabla player Kuljit Bhamra bring their imagination and virtuoso playing together in Parampara, a mesmerizing fusion of styles and breathtaking sounds.

This very special performance takes place at the Civic Theatre on Wednesday May 9, it’s an absolute must see for all music fans.

The month of May comes to a close with a celebration of English music written for chamber orchestra.

Manchester Camerata’s exceptionally talented leader – violinist Giovanni Guzzo, takes centre stage to perform Vaughan Williams’ delicate The Lark Ascending and other beautiful works by Elgar and Haydn.

This final concert in Manchester Camerata’s 2nd full season in Doncaster takes place on Friday May 25.
