four friends from Doncaster tackled the Trans Pennine Trail in aid of a brain tumour charity.

The group took four days to complete the 215 mile mountain bike ride, starting in Southport and finishing in Hornsea.

Russ Smith, from Carcroft, Matt Goodwin, from Bentley, Jon Cox from Norton and Cantley’s Lee Penno raised nearly £2,200 for Andrea’s Gift based in West Yorkshire.

John said: “My aunt has been diagnosed with a tumour and they have provided amazing support both to my aunt and the wider family.

“We wanted to give something back to help the charity.”
