a CALENDAR designed to celebrate how ‘real’ women look has been launched to raise money for a Doncaster Royal Infirmary’s neo-natal unit.

The Mothers’ Pride calendar shows a group of mums, aged between 22 and 64, who are all perfectly comfortable in their own skin.

Hair stylist Lynn Smith, 24, of York Road in Rossington, said: “I was 21 when I had my daughter and we were going away on a family holiday.

“I remember buying a swimming costume and not a bikini because I was so embarrassed by my stretch marks.

“I don’t agree with the image that women are only beautiful with this ‘perfect’ flat stomach and a lot of other women I spoke to agreed.”

The calendars, which were printed free of charge by Marshgate Prison, cost £5.

They are available from Zodiacs, in Queen Mary’s Road in Rossington, where Lynn works with fellow calendar girl and salon owner, Lindsay Nichol.
