A study of school children in Doncaster has revealed that this is the most boring week of the summer holidays.
Commissioned by the Manor Farm pub on Denaby Lane, the study revealed how children find the fourth week of the six week long holidays the most boring because they start to miss seeing their school friends every day.
The study also revealed how tensions in the house will be at an all time high during the fourth week as 58 percent of mums feel ‘stressed to breaking point’.
Glen Simmonds, general manager at the Manor Farm on on Denaby Lane, said: “The modern child is always on the go, so it comes as no surprise that after just four weeks they’re starting to feel bored. This study will strike a chord with millions of stressed-out mums who are trying to keep their kids happy during the summer break.
She added: “This stress, coupled with reports that mums and dads spend nearly £4,800 keeping their children entertained each summer, has incentivised us to offer £1 plays to all children whose parents like the ‘Parents Survive your Summer’ pledge at www.facebook.com/wackywarehouse.”
