A SUPERMARKET giant has been unveiled in another part of the borough, and young people were on hand to help open its doors.

Following Stainforth’s former Netto store being re-opened as an Asda supermarket, Balby was next on the list for the re-launch.

Officially opening the store in Springwell Lane were youngsters, parents and staff from the Balby Children’s Centre.

The children were also treated to a £50 gift card donation which they spent on food for their event called a ‘Tooty Fruity’ Fun Day.

The new-look store is one of 147 former Netto stores which are this year being transformed into Asda supermarkets.
