A DISPLAY of toy and model steam engines dating from the early 1900s to the modern day will be exhibited in the Isle this weekend.
The event takes place this Saturday, September 3, at the South Street pumping station in Owston Ferry, 10am-4pm.
Exhibits will be by members of The Unofficial Mamod Forum, the largest toy steam forum in the world, who are guests of the Owston Ferry Pumping Engine Preservation Society.
There will be refreshments, static and mobile toy steam exhibits, a boating pond, and the official re-commissioning of Ruston & Hornsby 8HRC diesel pumping engine. Also see the Marshall LT Tandem Compound steam Engine operating (the only known surviving example of its type in the world. Admission is free.
