A SERVICE specialising in helping children with mental health issues has launched two DVDs to be shown in schools.
The Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) children and young people’s mental health service (CAMHS), commissioned two short films, one for seven to 11-year-olds and one for 11 to 18-year-olds.
Each film highlights problems such as anxiety, bullying and domestic violence.
The film for younger children includes problems they may experience when parents argue and discusses the benefits of parenting classes.
The film for older youngsters includes topics such as eating disorders and hearing voices.
Project manager Barbara Murray said: “We hope that children and young people will access the short films to help them understand about our services and feel more comfortable about visiting our services.”
