A FUN-FILLED chance to show off and meet small and furry creatures is on offer at Bentley Pavilion next weekend.

Cavy Corner Guinea Pig Sanctuary’s Small and Furry Fun Pet Show will be held at the Askern Road venue from midday to 4pm on Saturday, March 31.

Visitors are invited to bring their pet rabbit, guinea pig or hamster to enter the show, and those without a pet are welcome to come along too.

Sanctuary founder Sue Tate said: “We’ve always held an annual show in November but it was such a success last year that we’ve decided to start putting on the show twice a year.”

The Bentley Road-based sanctuary, which has been running for about four years, is currently looking after 127 rescued guinea pigs. Doors open at 11.30am for registration, with judging from 12.15pm. Categories include Beautiful Bunnies and Ravishing Rats.

Admission is £1 - and all the money raised goes towards the care of the rescued guinea pigs.
