Man arrested on suspicion of murdering man missing since 2010

A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who went missing five years ago.

Thomas Groome was last seen by his family on New Year’s Day 2010. His body has never been found.

A 38-year-old Doncaster man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently being questioned by officers.

June Buttle, 56, from Doncaster town centre, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Thomas Groome in March and was sentenced to 16 years in prison at Sheffield Crown Court.
