Man, 90, fights for life after Doncaster smash

A man aged 90 is fighting for life today after he was involved in a crash with a car in Doncaster.

Police say the crash happened at lunchtime Saturday on Station Road, Stainforth, just outside the Asda supermarket.

There was a collision between the elderly pedestrian and a Vauxhall Astra travelling in the direction of Dunscroft.

The man was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 474 of 21 February 2015.
