A BUDDING lawyer has had a hair-raising experience by having his long locks lopped off for charity.

Luke Bentley, 23, of Albany Road, Balby, had a close shave to raise money for Cancer Research.

He said: “My uncle (Terrence Bentley) died of cancer, so I’ve always had a soft spot for the charity and the work they do to help people who are suffering.

“I invited all the people I knew from college to get them to come and sponsor me and watch my long hair be shaved off all in one go.”

Luke is planning on returning to college to complete a law and criminology degree. His friends, Jonathon Bates and Matthew Allsop, also took part in the fundraiser which has so far raise more than £220.
