A planned local government and school support staff strike that would have led to over 2,000 workers in Doncaster walking out has been suspended.
Members of the GMB, Unison and Unite unions were due to strike next week over pay.
But they have now confirmed that next week’s action has been suspended after the Local Government Association (LGA) made ‘new proposals’.
The unions said they would now consult their members on the proposals.
A total of 15 schools in the borough were set to close on Tuesday as a result of school support staff walking out.
