THE Commotions frontman Lloyd Cole is to perform at The Plowright Theatre in Scunthorpe on Wednesday July 11.
Through both his lauded work fronting the Commotions and his highly respected solo material, Lloyd Cole, pictured, has established himself as one of the most articulate and acute songwriters of the post-punk era.
Born January 31, 1961, in Buxton, England, Cole formed the Commotions in 1982 going on to storm the UK charts with a string of well-written art-pop hits such as Perfect Skin, Forrest Fire, Brand New Friend and Lost Weekend.
A spokesman for The Plowright Theatre said: “Lloyd had a fantastic career with The Commotions and has had a great solo career too.
“After 25 years in the music business Lloyd will be performing tracks from down the years and no doubt telling the stories behind some of them too. It promises to be a night not to be missed.”
Tickets, priced £20, are now on sale. They can be purchased from www.scunthorpetheatres.co.uk, the venue Box Office or telephone 0844 8542776.
