BRIGHT spark Jamie Parker has illuminated his Doncaster house with over 4,000 colourful Christmas decorations - to help provide a dazzling future for a charity close to his heart.

The father-of-two, 23, has covered his home and garden, in Rydal Road, Carcroft, with lights and inflatable snowmen to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

He decided to help the independent charity after flying paramedics provided life-saving treatment to a close family friend who recently suffered a heart attack.

Jamie, a fitter at Tata Steel in Scunthorpe, said: “I hope as many parents as possible will bring their kids along to enjoy the decorations and contribute to a worthwhile cause.”

He added his own two children Lewis, three, and Chloe, nine months, loved the lights at the home he shares with girlfriend Sharon Heard.
