Twenty minutes with Christina Chambers, funding manager for railway training provider Intertrain, who shares her thoughts on childhood holidays, the worst job she’s ever had, and her crush on Jason Statham.
What’s your earliest memory?
I moved to Doncaster when I was two and I can remember my nursery days very clearly.
How were your schooldays?
They were great. I went to Adwick High School and it’s true what they say - I wish I was still there. Things were so easy back then - everything was pretty much done for you!
I’ve got some great memories of going camping with my grandparents. We used to go to Flamborough, Filey, Bridlington or Scarborough and we’d do all the seaside activities like walking and winkle picking.
Things that make you smile?
My great family and friends. I’ve got a really good group of friends, they’re all lovely, good-natured people. We enjoy having dinner at each other’s houses, nights out, holidays, and going to the gym.
Rude people and inconsiderate drivers. Unfortunately I come across both on a regular basis.
First film you remember seeing at the cinema?
Hook - the 1991 Steven Spielberg film starring Robin Williams.
America by Razorlight.
It’s between York and Greece. I love York for the oldy-worldy feel of it , its cobbled streets and the shopping. And the Greek islands are beautiful - Zante and Rhodes are my favourites. I love the people and they’re just beautiful places to visit.
The first thing you’d do if you won the lottery?
I’d look after my family and friends by making sure they’re never worried about money.
What do you do to relax?
I read. The last books I read were the Twilight Saga - I just couldn’t put them down. I also enjoy anything by Dan Brown.
Any life lessons you’d like to pass on?
Do well at school. It’s a lot harder to learn when you are older.
Worst job you’ve ever had?
I worked in a plant fertiliser factory in the school holidays when I was 17 or 18. I was doing something brain-numbing like putting the caps on the bottles.
Any ambition yet to fulfil?
I’d love to see the Northern Lights from Norway.
What’s got you hooked on TV at the moment?
I was hooked on Broadchurch while that was on.
Ideal dinner companion - past or present?
Anyone who loves food and likes to eat a lot!
Who is your celebrity crush?
Indian food is delicious.
Dogs. We used to have a Labrador and now we have a King Charles called Deano.
The Twilight Saga. I loved the books and the films are just as good.
One wish for the world?
A cure for all cancers.
