workers who try to bring Doncaster’s communities closer together have been rewarded for their efforts.

MP Rosie Winterton was the special guest as she handed out awards to staff at the Doncaster Central Learning Centre.

The centre based in Church View brings together residents from different ethnic backgrounds and works with young people.

Volunteers and staff run language, art classes and a digital project, called Doncaster Digital inclusion, which aims to increase online computer usage among disadvantaged groups.

Miss Winterton, Doncaster Central MP, presented project workers with awards.

She said: “I’m delighted to have been invited to the Doncaster Central Learning Centre’s open day to support its volunteers and members and to recognise the work it does in the community.”

All profits generated from the business are reinvested back into offering more community services.
