the Keepmoat Stadium has been chosen to host a match between two top rugby league clubs as they battle it out for their place in a Wembley final.
Castleford Tigers will take on Leeds Rhinos on Sunday, August 7 in the Challenge Cup semi-final at the home of the Dons.
There will be live coverage on BBC2 of the match, which kicks off at 3.15pm.
Stadium manager Julie Nichol said: “We are delighted to be able to host such a high profile game of rugby.
“It will be a great spectacle with two world-class teams battling it out for their place in the final.”
The winners of the Keepmoat semi-final will go on to face either Wigan Warriors or St Helens, who play the day before in Warrington.
The upcoming game has given the town’s World Cup 2013 bid team a high-profile boost, with the stadium being firmly positioned as one of the best in England.
The 2013 Rugby League World Cup will be held in the UK and hosted by England and Wales.
