OLYMPIC triple jump hopeful Laura Samuel has visited a Doncaster primary school to encourage youngsters to hop, skip and jump their way into sport.

The 20-year-old visited pupils at Castle Hills Primary School in Jossey Lane, Scawthorpe, as part of the Sports for Schools initiative, which gives children the chance to meet athletes and find out what it takes to become a gold medalist.

Laura is currently fighting to get her place in Team GB at the London Games later this year and is hoping to improve on her silver medal at the World Junior Championships 2010 in Canada.

She is visiting schools around the country promoting exercise.
