Strike action by public sector staff today will mean there is no mobile library service across the Isle.

Visits are cancelled to: West Butterwick, North Street and The Croft, Beltoft, Epworth Road, Wroot, The School, Brook Terrace, Sand Lane post box and Eastfield Farm, Owston Ferry, Church Street and Market Place, West Butterwick, Parklands.

Schools in the Isle are largely unaffected by the industrial action. Althorpe and Keadby Primary School will only be partially open.

This is a national day of action involving local government members of Unison, GMB, Unite, Fire Brigades Union and the National Union of Teachers.

Reasons for the strike are varied across respective unions, but involve dispute over pay, pensions and workload.
