•RESPECT is reaping rewards across the Isle by stopping young people re-offending in shop theft, criminal damage, assault and public order.
Figures show re-offending rates are down from 27 per cent in 2009 to four per cent in 2012. Over 255 young people have benefited from the initiative.
• THE Isle of Axholme Family History Society next meets on March 28, to hear Angus Townley talk about ‘The pubs of Crowle’.
At this week’s meeting, members heard Mr J. Roffey give an address entitled ‘Send them to Safety’. Meetings of the group take place each month at the Wesley Memorial Church Hall from 7.30pm.
• HAXEY Parish Council will next meet on February 26 from 7pm at the pavilion at Westwoodside Playing Fields.
