•WESLEY Memorial Methodist Church Epworth hosts on December 15, a lecture by Peter Forsaith, research fellow of the Oxford Centre for Methodism and Church History, to mark the 350th birthday of the father of the Wesleys.

• A POPULAR folk band will be playing the last show of its tour in Wroot on Friday, November 23.

Lys St Georges will be performing at the Cross Keys Inn in High Street from 9pm.

Admission to the gig is free.

•AN Isle covers band needs a new singer/bassist. Rain has built quite a following over eight years by putting a raw edge to an eclectic mix of rock, pop and indie songs that span multiple decades.
