Isle MP Andrew Percy is urging residents to use new service Healthwatch North Lincolnshire.
He recently visited the group, which is a new independent consumer champions for health and social care.
The politician met with Celia Wangler, outreach and communications co-ordinator for the service, and her team to discuss how they can help constituents locally.
Healthwatch North Lincolnshire is one of the new independent consumer champions for health and social care, working to help local people get the best out of their local services.
Andrew said: “I met with Health Watch East Riding of Yorkshire earlier in the year and so was keen to meet up with the other Healthwatch covering this constituency.
“I discussed the main issues that are frequently raised with me, including communication, levels of basic care and difficulties in getting an appointment with a GP.
“Celia explained how Healthwatch is there to help improve the delivery of health services locally and provide the link between residents and health and social care providers.
“It is all about local voices being able to influence the delivery and design of local services.
“As a member of the Health Select Committee I see how important local participation in services is and I hope that residents take up this opportunity to engage with local providers.”
