IRISH celebrations will be in full force today as the borough gears up for another action-packed St Patrick’s Day.

Scores of bars, pubs, clubs and community groups will be joining in the annual celebrations today to mark the traditional saint’s day holiday.

The Horse and Groom is one venue which is making sure it has the ‘look’ of the Irish with the country’s flags decorating the pub both inside and out.

The classic Irish pub is gearing up tonight for a sham-rocking evening of live music and entertainment and a raffle.

A barbecue will also raise money for Doncaster’s Little Theatre based in nearby King Street.A crowd-pleaser of the East Laith Gate pub is its specially-brewed green ale which will again be on sale.

The pub’s barmaids will also be getting into the spirit of the celebration by wearing dresses made out of Irish flags.
