Hundreds of ‘minions’ toys have been left outside the site of a South Yorkshire business which was ravaged by fire yesterday.

The toys, made popular by the Despicable Me and Minions movies, were placed in blue bags and piled high outside The Stuffing Plant in Hexthorpe, Doncaster.

The firm, which specialises in stuffing large volumes of toys, caught fire yesterday after a blaze started at a neighbouring bio-disel firm named locally as Ample Fuel.

More than 40 firefighters spent 10 hours tackling the inferno, which started at a unit in Albion Terrace at 8am.

The buildings have been described by an official at the site as ‘write-offs’.
