Doncaster CVS is inviting anyone interested in getting involved in volunteering to pop along to a free event at the Mansion House next week.

The event will take place on Tuesday 11 March from 10am to 2pm to find out about the hundreds of opportunities available in the borough.

Over 25 local organisations are looking for volunteers in a variety of areas including conservation, education and literacy, arts and culture, youth work, mentoring, supporting families and individuals, environment and local community work.

Janet Gillott, Social Enterprise Development Team Manager, explains: “We receive requests on a daily basis from members of the public wanting to volunteer. This Volunteer Event is a fantastic opportunity for those people to come and find out what’s out there and how to get volunteering.

“Volunteering isn’t just about helping people, it is a fantastic way to learn different skills, gain experience, meet new people and ultimately, have fun!”

Continued Janet: “We urge people to drop in and have a chat. The event is free and we can guarantee that it may be the next step to one of the best things you’ll ever do.”

For more information, Janet can be contacted on Tel: 01302 343300 or email: jgillott@doncastercvs.org.uk or Nazia Sattar, email: nsattar@doncastercvs.org.uk
