A Doncaster hospice played host to the High Sheriff of South Yorkshire to demonstrate the vital work they do.

Julie A Kenny CBE DL visited St John’s Hospice and Information Centre, which is run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH), to meet the team and find out more about the services provided there.

She was welcomed by consultant Dr Laura McTague; hospice at home lead sister Sarah Bell; RDaSH chairman Madeleine Keyworth; voluntary services manager Alison Constantine and modern matron Helen Thompson before finding out about the services and heading on a tour of the hospice and information centre.

Madeleine said: “We were delighted to welcome Julie to the hospice and demonstrate the vital work we do to provide comfort, peace of mind and spiritual wellbeing for people with a life-limiting illness in Doncaster.”
