A TOWN centre shop, which provides drop-in advice and support to Doncaster people is preparing to celebrate Carers Rights Day.
The Talking Shop, which is run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) at 63 Hall Gate, will play host to staff from Doncaster Partnership for Carers between 9.30am and 3pm, on Friday November 30 who will be providing information about carers’ rights and the support available to them.
Acting team manager for RDaSH at the Talking Shop Joanne Goulding said: “Each year more than two million people in the UK become a carer for an ill, elderly or disabled relative, partner or friend.
“Times are tough for families at the moment, but those affected by illness and disability are often hardest hit, as they struggle with the additional costs of caring and lost earnings.
“We hope this event we will be able to give Doncaster carers access to all the advice, services and support.”
