A South Yorkshire health trust is encouraging patients to comment on the treatment they have received using social media.
Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) have launched their Twitter service, in addition to their Patient Advice and Liaison Team (PALS), to increase the number of ways patients can get in touch.
Twitter has been introduced to offer patients a way of instant and real time feedback, using their mobile phone, tablet or home computer.
Julie Mouncher, who oversees the PALS Team, said: “We encourage patients to tell us about the service they have received. We listen to every comment submitted to us and use it to help shape our services of the future.”
Using the new service patients will be able to comment as soon as they have attended their appointment or received their treatment.
RDaSH can be contacted via Twitter by tweeting them @rdash_nhs. Patients will receive responses between the times of 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
