Radiologist takes on hospital role

A NEW consultant radiologist has arrived in the borough.

Dr Sadashiv Kamath has taken up his post for the Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and will be based at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

He joins from the North Lincolnshire and Goole Hospitals NHS Trust where he also worked as consultant radiologist.

Educated in India, Dr Kamath went on to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2007. He is an active member of the British Society of Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular and Interventional Society of Europe.

He has previously worked in America as a Fellow in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Michigan and also at the Christian Medical College and Hospital in India as a Radiology lecturer.

Dr Kamath described the move as “exciting”.
