Patient safety boss visits Barnsley Hospital

The NHS boss responsible for patient safety has visited Barnsley Hospital to see the work being done to improve the care of deteriorating patients.

Michael Surkitt-Parr visited the hospital to find out more about two new initiatives it is working on – Sepsis Six and the National Early Warning Score. Both schemes are aimed at helping staff to identify sudden changes in a patients’ condition.
