TWO NHS trusts are celebrating after receiving £260 million of funding contracts.
The awarding of year-long contracts worth £264 million was signed at Doncaster’s emerging GP ‘commissioners’ monthly committee meeting.
The funding will pay for a range of hospital and community healthcare services from April.
Services worth £182 million will be bought from Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Montagu hospitals. It will pay for 70,000 outpatient appointments, over 28,000 planned operations and more than 24,000 emergency hospital admissions.Some £82 million of community and mental health services will be purchased from Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH).
