ISLE MP Andrew Percy is urging residents to get their free flu jabs this winter.
In North Lincolnshire last year 71 per cent of the over-65s and 51 per cent of the ‘at risk’ groups got vaccinated.
These figures are in line with national averages but the Department of Health is encouraging people in the at risk groups to get their jabs.
This includes those with diabetes and people who suffer from low immune systems, chronic respiratory diseases, heart, renal, liver and neurological diseases.
Mr Percy said: “The seasonal flu vaccination is important to help protect those people who are more susceptible to serious complications or even death from flu.”
