Doncaster apprentices have helped to put the finishing touches to the borough’s new look hospice.
The apprentices from Toll Bar-based Optima International have presented St John’s Hospice with a prestigious outdoor sign, a coffee table and stainless steel dragonfly signs – the hospice logo – for the reception area.
The work was part of their college project and apprenticeship training at the Doncaster company.
Mike Spiller, of Optima International, said: “I’m really proud of what the apprentices have achieved and it is helping our local hospice look excellent.”
Helen Thompson, hospice matron, added: “The apprentices have worked really hard to create fantastic signage. I want to thank each and every one of them.”
Patients have been moving back into the hospice this week after the £1.8 million revamp was recently completed.
