THREE-QUARTERS of people in Doncaster have been to a dentist in the last two years according to the latest NHS figures.

The statistics, running up to March 2012 show 75.4 per cent of residents in the NHS Doncaster primary care trust area have visited a dentist in the previous 24 months.

These figures for the town are much better than the national average of 56.6 per cent, health bosses say.

Of these figures 81.9 per cent of children and 73.6 of adults had been for a dental check up in the last two years.

Both figures show a large improvement on the same period six years ago when the figure was at 66 per cent.
