BRAVE college lecturers have had a hair-raising experience by getting their legs waxed in honour of a student struck down by cancer.

Craig Swift, a catering student at Doncaster College, was diagnosed with cancer in his bones last year.

To show their support for Craig, six lecturers from the academy of commercial enterprise at the college decided to whip off their hair to raise cash for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The trust is the academy’s adopted charity of the year and managed to raise well over £650 following the painful waxing event led by beauty therapy students.
