A local renewables company has shown its support for the last flying Vulcan bomber with a cash grant.
Green Eco Grants has donated £1000 to the charity Vulcan to the Sky to keep Vulcan XH558, which is based at Robin Hood Airport, flying.
Managing director of Green Eco Grants, James Loftus said: “The Vulcan to the Sky project is very important as this is the last Vulcan bomber actually flying in the world.”
James presented the cheque to Dr. Robert Pleming, the trust’s Chief Executive along with ground engineers and volunteers involved with the project. Upon receiving the cheque, Dr. Pleming said “It means so very much to have local businesses, especially those based around Robin Hood Airport, supporting the trust and ensuring that the Vulcan will fly for many more years.”
The Vulcan to the Sky is a non profit making organisation that restores, maintains and flies the Vulcan bomber around the UK at shows and events.
