Green fingered young pupils at Conisbrough Ivanhoe Junior and Infant School nursery learned all about the ins and outs of gardening when they went on a special visit to Fosters Garden Centre in Thrybergh.

Teacher Liza Mills said: “We had a tour around the garden centre first a member of staff did a talk with the children talking to them about different seeds, plants and vegetables.

“They had a great time, when they were given photographs of things at the garden centre and had to go on a little hunt to find them.”

About 40 tots joined in the fun on two trips on Thursday.

The youngsters picked plants to plant at school where they have their very own ”garden centre”.
