COMMUNITY projects that tackle policing priorities in the Dearne are invited to apply for funding from the South Yorkshire Police Authority.
The Authority has a funding pot of £190, 000 available through its Community Grants Scheme.
Grants range from £30,000 to £50,000 and are on offer to projects which address such areas as enhancing community safety and tackling crime.
Charles Perryman, chair of South Yorkshire Police Authority, said: “We believe the Community Grants Scheme remains vital in supporting projects which can make a real difference to local people across South Yorkshire.”
Application forms can be downloaded from the police authority website at www.southyorks.gov.uk.
Groups have until 4pm on Friday, April 27, to submit an application for a grant.
The Authority will consult with South Yorkshire Police before notifying successful projects before the end of May.
