Families looking for somewhere to take their children for a treat this half term are being invited to Conisbrough Castle, where a fun trail will set children hunting for vampires and witches around the historic site.

The Ghosts and Ghouls Quest challenges young visitors to decode cryptic clues, encouraging them to seek out a range of scary models hidden around the site, culminating in a hunt for a gruesome gourd, the carved Conisbrough pumpkin.

Anyone completing the trail without using any tricks will receive a double treat – a certificate and a sweet. The Ghosts and Ghouls Quest runs from Saturday to Sunday, November 4, between 10am to 4pm daily, with the castle itself open until 5pm. Admission £4.60 adults, £4.10 concessions and £2.80 children.
