TELEVISION vet Marc Abraham will be a star attraction at this year’s LovePets Show!

An active promoter of responsible pet-ownership, Marc has appeared on some of the biggest animal TV shows, including BBC1’s Animal Rescue Live and Channel 4’s It’s Me Or the Dog and The Paul O’Grady Show, as well as contributing on BBC Breakfast News, ITN News and The Tonight Programme. Marc was recently awarded the national veterinary industry’s prestigious Special Recognition Award and voted the UK’s Favourite Vet.

Thousands are expected to flock to the indoor Peterborough Exec centre at the East of England Showground for the two-day show in October, organised and supported by leading newspaper publisher Johnston Press, publishers of the Doncaster Free Press.

Other guests at the show include dog trainer to the stars, Karen Wild.

Karen has been described as the Rock Star of Dog Training - she has numerous celebrity clients, including Celebrity Big Brother star Nicola Tappenden, TV presenter and journalist Dawn Porter and TV presenter Davina McCall.

LovePets will be backed by an intensive pre-show publicity campaign in more than 43 local newspapers and 35 websites across the Midlands and East of England. It will also be supported by an event brochure, in-paper competitions, website advertising and the event’s dedicated website, www.lovepets.me.uk

Mars Petcare, the company behind such well known, leading brands as Pedigree, Whiskas, Sheba and Cesar is confirmed as a major sponsor for the second year running and Your Dog and Your Cat magazines are again sponsors of the dog and cat zones.

The Kennel Club is supporting LovePets 2011 and there will be exhibition zones for all the main pet sectors – dogs, cats, equine, small furries, fish, birds and reptiles/exotics – and the show arena will feature fun and entertainment for visitors, including dog agility, a search and rescue dogs display, dancing deaf dogs and Siberian Huskies.

Other attractions include The British Rabbit Council, who will display up to 20 rabbits, the Cats Protection League, featuring a special cat re-homing scheme and DK Reptiles, allowing you to get up close and personal with snakes, lizards and giant spiders in the haunted reptile house!

The show will also feature the popular petting zoo, where children can meet all sorts of animals including a family of racoons. Birds of prey will include the stunning Eagle Owl.

The event takes place on October 29 from 10am – 4.30pm and on Sunday October 30 from 10am – 4.30pm

Family Tickets (two adults and up to three children under 16) are £18 on the door or £12 if pre-booked online at www.lovepets.me.uk, saving 50%. The organisers will donate 10 per cent of all ticket revenue to nominated animal charities.
