JOIN Barnsley Council in supporting National Recycling Week that begins on Monday.
This year’s theme ‘Recycling - at home and away’ aims to increase awareness of the wide range of household items that can be recycled.
The council’s waste management service will tour the borough to answer questions about what and where you can recycle, and about the process.
All orders for recycling bins taken over the next week will be delivered free of charge.
Coun Roy Miller, Cabinet Spokesperson for Development, Environment and Culture (Operations) said; “The residents of Barnsley play a key role in ensuring the continued success of the council’s recycling services. Last year we achieved a household waste recycling rate of 41%, the highest rate ever achieved in Barnsley.
“I urge all residents to use all the recycling services available to them to build on this achievement.”
