a new £70,000 multi-use games area (MUGA) will be officially opened in Conisbrough on next Wednesday
The MUGA, which has been in use on the Welfare Field,is funded jointly by Waste Recycling Environmental Ltd (WREN) and Conisbrough Forward, and has taken around five years to come to fruition.
Former Denaby councillor Tony Sellars, of Conisbrough Forward, said: “The MUGA is open 24/7 and has already proved invaluable to youngsters in the area. It is already very popular and used for netball, five-a-side, baseball and tennis.
“I would like to thank St Leger Homes, who also helped with the funding, the local councillors and DMBC management team, all of whom have worked hard on the project.”
The MUGA wai be oficially opened at 4.30pm by the civic mayor.
