A fundraising day is being held to help pay for a grieving schoolgirl to go to Disneyland Paris after she bravely tried to save her mum’s life.

Little Grace Arrowsuch, seven, raised the alarm for emergency services after she found her mum Carol was not breathing while in bed one morning.

Paramedics rushed to the scene in Park Road, Swinton, but the 28-year-old mum could not be revived. It was later established she died from a condition that causes sudden death in adults.

Family and friends have now organised a fundraising day at the Park View pub in Swinton on Monday, August 25, in a bid to send her on holiday to Disneyland Paris.

There will be various attractions, games, a barbecue and bouncy castle from noon to 4pm. A charity night will follow from 7pm and includes live music.
