A host of family fun is promised at a Doncaster garden centre, which provides support to people with mental health needs and learning disabilities.

On July 7, between 11am and 4pm, The Walled Garden and Café, which are in the grounds of St Catherines, Balby, will stage the fun day which will have something for everyone.

The fun will include The Yorkshire Hawking Club, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue will have a fire engine at the event between 11am and 12.30pm,

Doncaster Traditional Car Club will have a range of vehicles on display, bouncy castle, tombola and a dance group performing at 12.30pm and 2pm.

In addition, RE-read will be offering free books to children.

The Walled Garden, which is run by Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH), will also have its usual wide range of plants, flowers and gifts on offer.

Project manager at The Walled Garden, Mike Rysak, said: “Come along and join us. It will be a great day out and we have something for everyone.”

The Walled Garden and Café at Balby is also open to the public on weekdays: Mondays between 10am and 4pm, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9am to 4pm; Fridays between 9am and 3pm and on Sundays between 11am and 4pm.
