YOUNGSTERS from Doncaster have been urged to stay out of trouble around Halloween and Bonfire Night.
Over 180 events are planned across the borough for five to 19-year-olds to brighten up their evenings with spooky spectaculars and fabulous fireworks.
Halloween parties and discos, ghost walks and fancy dress events are taking place from October 29 to October 31.
Bonfire events and firework displays will wow the crowds on November 4 and 5.
But there are also many more activities, including pyjama parties, cinema nights, discos, football and basketball competitions, being held during the October half term holiday.
Other events include X-Box challenges, hip hop and jazz dance classes, laser quest, rodeo bulls, sumo wrestlers, parties and bungee runs.
Chief Insp Neil Thomas, from South Yorkshire Police, said: “We want to see young people being encouraged to make a really positive and constructive use of their time.
“There are a number of fantastic activities and events that are taking place throughout Doncaster for young people to take part in and enjoy.”
Coun Cynthia Ransome, Doncaster Council’s cabinet member for communities, added: “I hope that young people across Doncaster will and enjoy all the activities that are available to them.
“With half-term coming up I’m sure that parents will enjoy a couple of hours to themselves. So I would encourage them to let youngsters know what’s going on.”
