THIS is how an complex of high rise flats in Doncaster will look following a £4.6 million makeover.
Work being carried out on the eight blocks on the Balby Bridge estate includes tenants receiving new windows, doors, upgraded central heating and external cladding – which will make homes warmer and greener.
The work is being carried out as part of St Leger Homes’ multi-million pound Decent Homes Programme.
Work is already underway to renovate tower blocks in Intake. External cladding work has started and is expected to be completed by April.
External cladding work is due to start in Balby Bridge within the next few weeks. The cladding is an insulating material that will reduce heat loss, keeping the homes warmer.
