North Lincolnshire Council is offering free swimming again for children aged 16-years-old and under throughout the summer holidays.
Last year’s free swimming sessions were hailed as a great success with around 15,000 children taking advantage of the offer.
Children can swim for free at Epworth Pool, which is managed by South Axholme Community Swimming Pool Association (SACSPA).
Free swimming is only available during the casual and fun splash sessions from Wednesday, July 24, to Monday, September 2.
Swimming pool supervision ratios will apply and a bands system will be in place. This guarantees each child a minimum of 40 minutes swimming time.

Councillor Carl Sherwood, cabinet member for customer services, sport and leisure, said: “The free swimming offer has been running for the past few years now and it is becoming more and more popular.
“Swimming is a great activity as children can have fun whilst keeping active.
“This initiative is a good way of encouraging more young people to take part in a sport. I’m sure this year’s free swimming will be just as successful – if not more.”
