JOB hunters and budding entrepreneurs can get free support from a Doncaster organisation recognised for helping people to change their lives.
Access to volunteering and training opportunities will also be available through Conisbrough-based Doncaster West Development Trust after it secured the contract to operate the new Steps to Success programme across the borough.
Based on helping committed individuals to find jobs or set up their own business, the project will be run by qualified work and enterprise coaches and focus on wide-ranging issues from confidence-building to business planning.
Earlier this year, DWDT won an award from Social Enterprise Yorkshire and Humber for helping thousands of people to tackle issues affecting their quality of life including skills training.
Coaches with diverse expertise and dedicated to achieving results are based at the borough’s 11 opportunity centres and work closely with specialist agencies to help individuals achieve their goals. Project manager Mick Bailey said: “Steps to Success is designed to be accessible to people borough-wide and is tailored to individual needs.”
