Temperatures will rise, hormones will rage and pulses will gallop when the Hot Flush musical comes to town this week.

Starring Birds of a Feather icon, Lesley Joseph, the show takes the audience on a journey, that delves into the friendships, the secrets, the laughter and tears and the ups and downs of four ordinary women, and the many men in their lives.

Hot Flush tells the story of a quartet of feisty menopausal women who get together every Tuesday night at a local bar to offer each other moral support, cry on one another’s shoulders, and of course most importantly, gossip and malign the men in their lives.

2, icons of rock

Rock giants, Foreigner, are set to play in Sheffield this week on their UK wide tour.

The band are responsible for some of the most enduring anthems in rock such as Cold As Ice, Juke Box Hero, Feels Like The First Time, Urgent, Head Games, Waiting For A Girl Like You, and Say You Will and are still incredible live performers.

What’s more, Swedish hard rock band Europe, who are best known for hits such as The Final Countdown and Rock The Night will also be supporting Foreigner on the tour.

3, billy’s back

Comedy favourite, Billy Pearce, is back with a brand new show.

The Yorkshire-born entertainer has won just about every award going including a British Comedy Award, Comedian of the Year and Best Television Comedy Newcomer, and is now set to entertain audiences at the Cast theatre.

Billy first shot to fame when he appeared on New Faces in 1986, and since then has become one of Britain’s best loved comics.

His new show proves Billy hasn’t lost his touch.

4, panto at the Plowright

Tracy Beaker star, Dani Harmer, and comedy legend, Bobby Davro, are set to appear in Peter Pan this week.

The Rotherham Rep bring Alan Ayckbourn play, A Snake in the Grass to the Rotherham Civic Theatre.

The play is set in the garden of a family home where Miriam has cared for her father with the help of nurse Alice. On his death, Miriam’s older sister, divorced Annabel, comes home after over twenty years to find she has inherited the bulk of his fortune.

Alice, the creepily polite nurse, upset after being sacked, is intent upon blackmail, having evidence that Miriam killed her father. While scatty Miriam and tough Annabel join forces against Alice. As night falls the garden is filled with long-buried childhood memories, but is it just the past that returns to haunt them or something worse?
